How to Get IPTV Smarters Player on Roku
Devices · Updated
If you can't find IPTV Smarters Pro in the Roku Channel Store, it isn't a glitch: Roku removed it. There are still two workarounds that get IPTV streams onto a Roku TV.
Method 1: Sideloading with Developer Mode (advanced)
Roku lets developers install their own channel packages through Developer Mode. You need a computer on the same Wi-Fi network as the Roku.
- On the Roku remote press Home ×3, Up ×2, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right.
- Select Enable installer and restart and note the IP address shown on screen.
- Accept the developer agreement and set a web server password.
- Get the player's Roku channel package (a
.zipfile) from its developer. - In a browser on your computer, open the Roku's IP address, log in, and upload the
.zipto install it.
Note: Only one sideloaded channel can be installed at a time, and it may be removed by firmware updates. Only install packages from a source you trust.
Method 2: Screen mirroring (easiest)
If sideloading sounds too technical, mirror your phone instead. Install IPTV Smarters (or any player) on an Android phone or iPhone and cast the screen to your Roku.
Tip: On the Roku, go to Settings → System → Screen mirroring and set it to “Prompt” or “Always allow”. Android phones use Smart View or Screen Cast; iPhones need a Roku model with AirPlay support.
Still buffering after it's set up?
Mirroring sends the video over Wi-Fi twice (provider → phone → Roku), so it's more sensitive to weak signal. Use a wired Roku if you can, and see our IPTV buffering fixes.
