How to Fix the IPTV Smarters “Invalid URL” Error

You sit down to watch a game, open IPTV Smarters Pro, and get an “Invalid Details” or “Invalid URL” error. Before you message your reseller, work through this checklist to find the exact cause.

1. The hidden-space typo

The most common cause is a typo. When you copy an Xtream Codes link from email or WhatsApp, phones often add an invisible space at the end of the URL, username or password.

Fix: Delete the last character of the URL, username and password and retype them by hand. Enter http:// or https:// and the port (for example :8080) exactly as your provider gave them.

2. ISP blocks and geo-restrictions

Internet providers in several countries, including the UK, Spain and Italy, block IPTV server addresses, especially during major sporting events. Smarters then reports the URL as invalid because it can't reach the server.

Fix: Disconnect the device from Wi-Fi and connect it to your phone's mobile hotspot. If the app logs in, your home ISP is blocking the server, and a reputable VPN will usually get around it.

3. Expired or abandoned accounts

If your details are correct and nothing is blocking you, the account has probably expired, or the provider changed its server domain without telling you.

  • Check your expiry date with the line checker. It reads the date straight from the provider's panel.
  • If the domain no longer resolves, ask the provider for their new server URL.
